Cultural adaptation and validation of the Transcultural Self-Efficacy Tool for use with undergraduate nursing students in Spain

The provision of culturally competent care helps reduce healthcare inequalities. There is a positive association between the cultural competence nursing professionals and patient satisfaction, also nurses' self-efficacy patients' adherence to treatment. While training in this respect important, self-assessment skills should be addressed. To produce culturally-validated Spanish-language version Transcultural Self-Efficacy Tool (TSET) for use undergraduate studies, evaluate its implementation within Spanish educational system. This adaptation psychometric validation study was carried out with student nurses from two universities. International standards were followed translation questionnaire. All students completed questionnaire twice, second time 14 days after first. Those who took Care course at University Málaga third time, concluding subject. reliability, discriminatory capacity, stability sensitivity change tested confirmed, confirmatory factor analysis performed. A total 286 part study. Overall, TSET obtained reliability score 0.978, according Cronbach's alpha test. In relation nationality origin, capacity ?1.067 (?1815 ?0,320) = 0.005.
